Slammers in the Mayor’s Cup tournament
One week ago, the Boston Slammers became the first all-girls travel baseball team to make the quarterfinals of the prestigious Mayor’s Cup in the tournament’s 10-year history. Each summer, local 12U All-Star teams throughout Boston compete against each other in pursuit of the title. After going undefeated last weekend, the Slammers have been ranked fourth out of 17 and will now play South Boston to get one step closer to the championship game.
